The members of Mainstay New Zealand Hotels care for your comfort and are committed to quality assurance.  Each Mainstay Member must undergo an Independent review by the Qualmark New Zealand classification and grading system.

Qualmark is a consistent independent rating system nationwide which has been established with the specific aim of becoming the nationally and internationally recognised accommodation classification for New Zealand.

The system encompasses a five level scale, expressed as a star rating:

	Acceptable. Meets customers' minimum requirements. Basic, clean and comfortable accommodation.
	Good. Exceeds customers' minimum requirements with some additional facilities and services.
	Very good. Provides a good range of facilities and services and achieves good to very good quality standards.
	Excellent. Consistently achieves high quality levels with a wide range of facilities and services.
	Exceptional. Among the best available in New Zealand.

Within each star grading, those offering a better range and quality of facilities and services are recognised with a "plus".

An "Applied" in the rating column indicates that the Qualmark grade has not been finalised for that property.
